FUE technique is the most used hair transplant method today. We complete the application, which starts with the removal of the hair follicles one by one from the donor area from which we will take the hair, and we transplant these hair follicles to the hairless or thinning area. Before doing these procedures, we apply anesthesia to patients. That’s why you don’t have any problems with feeling any pain. However, in some very rare people, when the effect of anesthesia wears off, you may feel pain in the form of a slight pain caused by the FUE hair transplant procedure. You can relieve these with simple pain medication.

Since we consider hair transplantation as a surgical intervention, we perform this procedure in the hospital operating room. After the local anesthesia we apply to the patients, you can easily do actions such as chatting and reading the newspaper during the session. In the hair transplantation we perform with the FUT method, we remove a piece of tissue from the hairy area and then you will feel pain in this area even though anesthesia is applied because we have stitched later. However, the FUE technique has caused this problem to be eliminated. You do not need to worry about this. You will feel the pain of the needle until you only have local anesthesia. The procedures we will do later will not be felt and you will have natural looking hair after hair transplantation is completed.

How Do We Perform Hair Transplantation with the FUE Technique?

When we do hair transplantation with the FUE technique, we shave the hair of the patients less than 1 mm. Before shaving, we take photos of the patient from different angles, determine the donor area where the hair follicles will be taken and evaluate the area where we will make hair transplantation. After completing these, we move on to shaving the hair. By determining the donor area where we will take hair follicles, we apply local anesthesia to this area.

In other words, this area is numbed so that the patient does not feel pain. We think of everything beforehand for the comfort and convenience of the patients. We do not make any incisions in this technical time in the area where we will take the hair. Even after the FUE procedure, you will not feel pain. Patients overcome the recovery period comfortably. All they feel is the slight ache of the needle for numbing.

Collection of Hair Follicles

As in the FUE technique, as in the FUT technique, we make an incision in the donor area and do not remove tissue fragments, so we remove the hair follicles from the anesthetized area one by one with thin punches attached to devices called micro motors. These punches are 0.7 – 0.8 mm thick. Because they are so thin, they don’t even cause trauma to the donor site. White spots like spots may occur only in the area where the hair follicles are taken. These are too small to see later and disappear after a while.

Even the patient himself cannot notice them as the surrounding hair grows. It takes about 3 hours to collect the hair follicles according to the need of the patient, that is, the amount of hair we will transplant in the balding area. Our experts approach this application with care. We take the hair in the donor area at intervals we determined without diluting it. We keep the hair follicles we collect in a special solution between +4 and +19 degrees until the hair transplantation.

Opening Channels

After completing the collection of hair follicles, we proceed to the process of opening the channels that we will transplant in the hairless area. Again, we apply local anesthesia to this area so that patients do not suffer any pain. Here, what patients will only hear is the pain of the needle made for numbing. After anesthesia, we begin to open channels of suitable depth and thickness to place the hair follicles.

The angle of these channels is also very important. The work that will contribute to achieving a natural appearance after hair transplantation should be carried out by a specialist doctor and his team in hair transplantation. This is perhaps the most important stage in hair transplantation. During the opening of the channels, even the directions of the hair follicles should be determined correctly. It is necessary to calculate the angle and direction of the channels correctly.

From which area do we get hair follicles for hair transplantation?

In the areas where we will use hair follicles for hair transplantation, you will not have a hair root problem because there is no hair loss due to genetic factors. This area is at the back of the head, between the two ears. Usually we get hair follicles from here. The FUE method also allows hair follicles to be extracted from the area above the ear. Therefore, according to your needs, we benefit from the hair follicles in these areas. We plan this before the hair transplant, during our doctor’s examination of the patient. If we obtain the hair follicles needed by the balding area from the area that does not shed genetically, the hair in the transplanted area will not fall out for life.

Completion of FUE Method Hair Transplantation

We prevent pain by using local anesthesia in hair transplantation performed with the FUE procedure. At the same time, as you patients are conscious, we give short breaks to complete your needs such as resting and eating during hair transplantation. Patients can chat with their doctor as they wish and even watch the procedures performed themselves.

Necessary Criteria to Achieve Success in Hair Transplantation

In order to talk about the success of hair transplantation, the results should have a natural appearance. It is very important that the hair cells we will use during hair transplantation are healthy enough. The fact that the hair is thick enough to meet the hair needed in the balding area also positively affects the operation. Sufficient thickness of the hair strands is one of the important issues in feeding the transplanted cells. In addition, the experience of the doctor who will perform the hair transplant and all the conditions of the hair transplant center must be appropriate.
