How Liposuction Can Get You Ready for Beach Season

Summer is coming. You know what that means: Hot bodies in skimpy outfits basking under the heat of the sun. All the people you see around you look great, their abdomens toned and flat. You? Not so much? Well, it does not have to be that way.

As most know, getting ready for the beach season can be a strenuous process for even the most dedicated. After all, life gets in the way and with many different responsibilities to juggle and manage there’s so much time one can allocate to fitness. Worse, for some people, it does not seem to do anything. Stubborn pockets of fat that appear to be diet-proof and exercise-resistant are not rare to find.

These annoying allocations of fat often seem to be mocking you that no matter how hard you work; you won’t get rid of them. Not true at all if you know which things can help you.

A liposuction procedure can instantly get rid of such all-resistant pockets of fat. What’s better is that after it you can return to normal activity a short time later due to short recovery time. The surgery result is also almost instantly observable — even the bruising and swelling last mostly six weeks after the operation.

Getting Rid of Fat with Liposuction

There are many kinds of liposuctions these days, each variant assisted by unique technologies. Laser-assisted liposuction, ultrasound-assisted liposuction, and fluid injection liposuction each with their own quirks. Regardless, the main procedure remains the same.

Making a series of the incision close to the areas where the fat deposits to get rid of are. These incisions will be the entry point for a thin, hollow tube known as a cannula. Once inserted, the cannula is set on and begins to vacuum the fat found in the area. The surgeon must be careful not to vacuum the totality of the fat, rather, leaving enough to mould the area into an attractive shape. The process continues for each area stricken with fat deposits the patient is keen to get rid of. Once done, each incision belonging to each of the vacuumed areas gets closed via suturing.

After the surgery, the patient receives compression garments to help healing by holding the skin cuts closer together. The body will have some swelling and bruising that will subside after six to eight weeks.

Liposuction and Beach Bodies

When looking for a beach body through liposuction is imperative that you already are reasonably fit and not have an excessive body mass index. This due to the excess of stretched out skin that accompanies obesity cases. Liposuction can get rid of the fat in areas of the body but it will not remove the loose, stretched out skin remaining in such cases. To do so a tummy tuck procedure is more suitable, some surgeons perform both during the same surgery. Inquire with your surgeon about performing these procedures simultaneously for further information.
